For new documents librarians, I recommend signing up to the following listservs:

FDLP – subscribe to learn about news and events relating to the FDLP.

FDLPIN-L  – A closed list-serv for Indiana Federal Depository Libraries. Follow the link and scroll down until you see fdlpinl to subscribe.

INDIGO-L – For INDIGO members. To subscribe, send an email with the command SUBSCRIBE INDIGO-L to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.PFW.EDU.

GOVDOC-L – For government information librarians around the country. To subscribe, send an e-mail message to LISTSERV@LISTS.PSU.EDU that contains the line: SUB GOVDOC-L Yourfirstname Yourlastname.

GODORT Listservs – the Government Documents Round Table of the American Library Association compiled a list of general and state specific listservs.
